Author Lap Nissen questions

If I've had any abdominal surgeries - even a lower abdominal pelvic female
type surgery - would that mean I couldn't have a laparoscopic Nissen and
would have to go with an open abdominal procedure if I had it done? -Blocks

No. Your previous abdominal surgery wouldn't even slow down a competent
laparoendoscopic surgeon.

It shouldn't matter, since I've known several people that have had a
Lap Nissen after either a lap appendectomy or a lap gallbladder removal.

My pelvic surgery was an open procedure done before laparoscopic procedures
were widely used. I had it done when I was a teenager many years ago to
deal with a problem with my ovaries. -Blocks
