I stopped using a wedge pillow after half a year and then
started using an elevated bed instead (about 5 inches and I
might need to increase that). Although my GERD symptoms seem
to have gotten a little bit better with the elevated bed, I
noticed that I also started to have back pain whether I lie
on my sides or on my back. So I'm wondering whether there's a
connection between lying on a flat bed (as opposed to a wedge
pillow) and a back pain.

Erasmus...I would think it would be the opposite. You are implying you also
lie on your sides using a wedge. I would think that would really be
difficult ...Pete
