| Hi.
I just tried Prevacid (30mg capsules) for the last 3 days,
but I have to stop. It severely increased the amount of acid in my
system. As soon as I took the pill, I'd get a flushed feeling in my
forehead, sinuses and throat. I'd hear my stomach gurgling all day
long; I'd get frequent waves of heartburn throughout the day, and as
soon as I went to bed, the acid would go all the way up to my throat.
My throat has never been as sore as it is this morning.
Never had this problem on H2s.
Has anyone else had this experience with Prevacid or other PPIs?
Any explanation as to why it happens? I'm very interested in learning
the mechanism responsible for this reaction.
