Author As a sub - Mylanta or Maalox?

Funny how years ago, Alka Seltzer and Bromo Seltzer had the market on
heartburn products along with Rolaids.

Actually, Alka Seltzer used to help out alot. If one decides to put away
the PPI's for awhile, would it be wise to take a swig of Mylanta or Maalox?
I know that they used to help. Wouldn't a liquid provide faster relief
than the PPI's like Nexium or Prilosec? The latter give more long lasting
relief, but the liquids act pretty fast.

Does anyone here actually use Tums?
