| Sorry to have to inform you that you are not crazy.
Have a look at the side-effects of nexium at www.rxlist.com or www.drugs.com
and up at the top is chest pain.
I had a lot of problems with nexium. My doc. did not understand this because
she takes nexium and has no problems whatsoever. I switched to pantoprazole
after nearly two years on nexium and have a lot fewer side-effects.
The majority of docs. do not seem to be aware that each patient is an
individual and hence react uniquely to medication, although this is well
documented in the literature. I am very chemically sensitive and usually end
up with all the side-effects under the sun and very quickley exhibit signs
of intolerance or overdosing.
For upbrowed reading see www.medscape.com .
I take the medication (PPIs) an hour before breakfast, which means taking it
when the alarm goes off and staying a while in bed on my left side to make
sure the tablet stays in my tummy. However, that is only because I am lazy
and have short bowel syndrome with Crohn's and the aftermath of lots of
surgery.
All the best,
Vanny

Could the nexium be causing the chest pain? It's strange, but the pain
started at the same time I started nexium.
