Tis weird as I am going through the same thing. I went so far as to
quit coffee cig. and chiocolate. Nexium sucks! LOL

I had "heart burn" off and on with chest pains here and there but I
thoguht little of it until my voice became effected that is what
brought me to the ENT and the Nexium. I have more discomfort now but
as you indicated my neck is not as sore and my voice holds up much
better.
