In conversation with my doctor he admitted to being a heartburn sufferer. He
said that when he goes abroad to hot and less hygienic countries he stops
taking PPI's so that his stomach acid can deal more effectively with bugs.
During that time he take Gaviscon instead. Seems like a good idea and I
intend to try it when visiting the Caribbean next month.
