i have seen the complete opposite. My mother suffers from chronic pain
and her DR, which is also mine, provides to her what she needs. Then
you come across an XXXXXXX like me that suffers from a really XXXXed up
back and abuses the scripts and therefore gets cut off. I have since
learned to handle the pain on my own and when it gets too bad i try to
focus on my kids and do my best to forget it. My point is is that at
one point these DRs weren't afraid to hand the meds out but jackasses
like me and im sure there is a million plus just like me abuse the
scripts and this is what is getting them in trouble. For the longest
time my DR was torn between keeping me on pain meds for my back or risk
getting in trouble and it finally got to the point where he sat me down
and said that he just couldnt risk it. His other patience like my mom
who does not abuse are more important than treating my pain and
addiction and getting himself in trouble. And believe it or not the
ritalin im on is even more regulated than most pain meds so i couldnt
abuse those even if i wanted to because id be cut off in a split
second. Those who have read my post from last week know that i was
getting off of the opiates. I will deal with my pain on my own and if
worse comes to worse.......welll lets just hope it doesnt get to that
point.
