Some of them contradict themselves and others are based on supposition
& conjecture. Now by-in-large I do not agree with a "Nanny"
Government and have said before that I am in agreement with the large
majority of the Libertarian platform, the one exception is the loons
that they seem to run as candidates. However, that being said I do
not have a problem with the government, preferably at the State level,
putting in place some rules & regulations that stop certain people
from becoming a burden on the rest of society by their own bad
decision making. Now if I didn't have to pay for the programs to
support junkies and their families or deal with some of the crime that
junkies resort to in order to feed their habit I could care less. If
everyone who want to shoot, snort or otherwise ingest substances that
make them incapable of caring for themselves was willing to sign away
their rights to any & all forms of public assistance I wouldn't see
any needs for laws controlling substances. It isn't the substances
per-se that are the problem, but the end results on the long-term
user.
