Author What happened to Ronnie's apology?

I proved that you were responsible for the RL attacks on my livelihood.
Were you lying when you said this?

Or did you just not think you'd ever have to make good on it?

You demanded proof and I provided it. What do you have to say about that
Ronnie?

Of course I still don't want an apology unless it's a genuine apology
and you really are sorry for what you did. Now that you know the facts,
I should think you would want to do the decent thing, but maybe not.
It's not going to go away without a little help from you.

So just where did you prove it? By calling her a liar and calling her
names? That aint proof of nuthin.

What is it with you an apologies? How do you tell a genuine one from
a forged one? Some type of special pen like they use on 50's & 100's?

After three apologies do you get like a fourth one free? Or do you
collect them to send off to those less fortunate who aren't able to
get apologies on their own? I bet the Tsunami victims would love to
get an apology or two.

Wait I know, you donate them to the make "Make-A-Wish" foundation.

"...because I use OE and nothing has shown up..."

LOL yeah Ronnie. How convenient. If you're going to demand proof from
someone, you should have the decency to take them out of your killfile
so you can see the proof when it's posted.

All the proof you asked for is posted below, but before you get to that,
I would like an explanation for this allegation you made against me, and
please be specific as to what exactly you meant:

From: "Ronnie" <rnvn@snet.net>
Newsgroups: alt.support.chronic-pain

.... some of the stuff you sent was pretty scarey....

What "scarey" stuff did I send to you Ronnie? When did I send "stuff" to
you?

And now on to the proof you demanded.

I know exactly who did what.
"...only that you were a bathroom book writer..." was all they needed to
find my publisher.

Let's review. First there was this from you:

That triggered an avalanche of derision and scorn, and it wasn't long
before this appeared:

Identical posts were made by Super Troll (Rosie S) and several Nicky

You provided the crucial piece of information to my enemies that led
them to my publisher. Then they tried to organize a letter writing
campaign to get me fired. You gave them the key and then you cheered
them on. That makes you the person most responsible for the RL attacks
on me. Of course you are also the person most responsible for the RL
attacks on Codeee as well. All because you went on a rampage of
backstabbing over some ill-advised comments Codeee made in an email,
that she immediately apologized for.

*****Wrong Juba, I wanted you off the newsgroup PEROID and still would like
to see it but wont waste my time now. I believe it was your ego that was
telling about
your bathroom writing before I said anything about it. You and your
nastiness *cheered*
them on I didnt do anything. I told you why I turned on you and since I
have come back on the group you have proven me how right I was. Let me
again tell you and Codeee that I am
sure is reading this that there were two emails ... I have them and no I
will not post
them I do not post private emails never have never will. I didnt go on a
*rampage*
I told ppl who I had/have been talking to all along how disappointed I was
THAT is
not a *rampage* .. Tell me something what good is an apology if you keep
doing it?

Now as I said before you can keep posting things and as you said some time
ago
you know how to push my buttons.. Not anymore. Spend more time on your next
book, who knows maybe you will become a famous writer and that I do say in
sincerity.

People sometimes make mistakes. Not you, of course because you don't
ever make a mistake.

Anyway, when one makes a mistake, you can't undo any damage it caused,
but you can acknowledge that a mistake was made and that you're sorry
for it.

I asked you for an answer Ronnie. Not some bullshit. If you believe I

make any more vague accusations against me unless you're willing to back

No Ronnie. You are the one who told them about the bathroom books. You
provided the one piece of information my enemies needed to find my
publisher.

I posted the proof of what you said and what it led to. You can deny it
all you want, but your denials have now been proven to be lies.

Because my actions are deliberate. I think before I push send. If I
had not meant what I said, why on earth would I have said it? If I
give advice of a medical nature and I am wrong I have no problem
posting a correction or acknowledging it when someone else does.

Currently the only mistakes I seem to have made was coming to your &
Jite's defense when some untruths were presented. What I said wasn't
wrong, just my assumption that it would be positively acknowledged, or
even ignored, as opposed to being attacked for it. I guess for that I
am sorry, but feel no overriding compulsion to let the entire world
know it. Although I guess I just did.

Well if it can't undo any damage, and Peabody can't take you into the
wayback machine to reverse the issue, what is the point other then an
ability for certain people to gloat?

I'd still like to know how you can tell a genuine apology from
a forged or non-sincere one? Hell it is like saying I am sorry you
are an XXXXXXX so often. What did that just accomplish? Just for the
record I was being sincere, so do I get any frequent flyer miles for
that one?

Humans acknowledge their mistakes. Sub-humans refuse to acknowledge
their mistakes.

A decent person apologizes when they make a mistake that impacts someone
else in a negative way. A decent person who receives an apology doesn't
use it as an opportunity to gloat.

The correct judgment of an apology is based on content
not context .

Most genuine apologies go something like this " I am
sorry , I was wrong and I apologize " .

Most B.S. apologies sound like this " I'm sorry , but
you know , I was having a bad day and I really am
sorry but I didn't mean for you to see that post but I am
human after all .

As an aside , some sub-human species are capable of a form
of apology . Anyone who has ever had their dog come
into the room with her head down and tail between her
legs can guess that their canine companion is apologizing
for either raiding the steak off the table or " leaving "
a soon to be found surprise !

Well, you could say that "I'm sorry" is the content, everything else is
context. Saying "I'm sorry, but..." and then offering up some kind of
excuse is never a genuine apology.

One of the many good things about dogs is that they never make excuses
for their mistakes.
