Hello group, I am a new member here,
and just wanted to say Hello.

have suffered from allergies all of my life, I was 15 when everyone learned
what was wrong with me.

Had the arm testing done at 15, started on the shots but learned they may
not do me any good, and I would have to take them for a year or longer, At
15 who wants to hear that? I didn't so I haven't taken them since.
Since I was in Foster Care, they did everything in the books for Allgies for
me, bedding.. removing food, None seemed to help.

I am one who has not given up what I love to do, and I do not let my
allergies stop me ( sometimes they do slow me down)
On top of allergies I also suffer from Asthma brought on by an allergies,
and a skin condition since birth called Eczema
Most of which I can keep under contol with OTC..
The Eczema I still have to use a scrpt from time to time, and I will for the
Allergies if in need.
but with the cost of scrpt, I try to keep them low, and use OTC's which are
not as good.

As for as Allergies go, I have many..Grasses, Trees, dust, dogs, cats,
cleaning products, mold, the list goes on..

As I said before, I do not tip toe around and stop doing what I love, So I
have two dogs ( to keep them I do give them baths once a week) If they go
longer then a week, and they do at times, my son will have to start them
with there baths...

My children have been blessed.. there was a 50/50 chance they they could
have alligies passed on by me..

and only my oldest has Alleriges, they are hevely at times, but she does
well without anything meds.. my son so far hasn't showed any signs of any
problmes
My children are 19 ( 2nd year in collage) and My son is now 14. So I am
pleased that they do not have to suffer as I do..

I just wanted to say Hello
ask/talk about treatments, what you find works, don't work. etc.

I have the same allergies that you have to mold, etc.I will add 1 more-
shell fish even in vitamins.
No beer, wine or amoxicillin (med).

When I was raising our family we always had short haired dogs. No
collies or shelties with long hair. Our rugs are made of cotton/wool and
are area rugs.

OTC- claritin or alavert they have the same ingredient. I find the
chewable ones work the best for me.

never had much luck with claritin even before it went OTC.
