| Mark,
I was just searching around for some other health information, and I
stumbled across your post here. As I read it, I was seriously wondering
if it was something I posted here a while ago and had forgotten!
I'm a 26 year old male from Ohio, and I've been suffering with describably
the same symptoms that you discussed, almost word for word. Usually the
only time I feel okay is WHILE I am eating. Otherwise my throat feels
like I want to pry it open with a crowbar or something, and I need to
swallow ALL THE TIME, even when I'm not eating or drinking something. I
RARELY have any heartburn. Swallowing frequently causes me to have a lot
of air in my stomach as well. I always tell doctors it feels like a
bubble is in my throat, or that it's like it is swelled up. When I eat, I
feel perfect, until shortly after I stop eating, and then I'm bothered for
a long long while. The torture pretty much never stops except WHILE I'm
eating. During the day it just goes up and down with its severity.
It started for me over 2.5 years ago with misdiagnosis and hospitalization
with internal bleeding and almost dying. Since then I have been to a
million doctors in several cities, running a ton of tests. I have had
both Nissen Fundoplication surgery and the Stretta Procedure, but I still
have the same symptoms and nobody can figure out what is wrong with me. I
have severe allergies to dust and cats, but none too foods that they
tested.
I'd like to talk more to you about this, if you're interested. I was
shocked when I read your description of your problems.
