| Neal, I mailed two postcards to your grandson (from Belize) last
Thursday. Please let me know if/when he gets them.
Everyone, I hope all is going well with "the group". I don't have time
to read all the posts, but I miss keeping up with everyone.
Tomorrow a boat will be at my pier at 6:45 a.m. and take me and friends
to the mainland where we will go cave-tubing, and ride a "zip line" in
the jungle. Am I crazy or what? I think I might be the granny who jumps
out of an airplane on her 80th birthday. egads. If I don't die in the
jungle first.
(Susan, I hope the wedding went great).

Now that's definitely something I would like to do. We had a very scaled
down version in our woods for the kids, but we called it a "flyer." They
loved it. What a thrill it's going to be for you!

| I just got back from the zip line and cave tubing. It was an awesome
trip. The best I've had in Belzie. The zip line was a blast. They had 8
platforms set up, and we just went flying from one to the other.
The cave tubing was also fantastic. It reminded me of when I was a kid
and we'd go "inner-tubing" in the river. Absolutely beautiful river and
cliffs and jungle. Some of the river was through caves, and some was
out in the open, but all was so fun, and refreshing, and made me feel
like a kid again. Two highlights in the cave was one spot where off to
the side (over the river bank) there was an opening in the "ceiling"
and light could get through and there was a lush garden in there, lit
up with the skylight, while we sat in the dark cave. It was
breathtaking. I was thinking "everyone should see this!" Another spot
was where there was a waterfall in the cave. It was short, but wide,
and loud. We shone our lights on it, and it was so neat.
Anyway, I'm exhausted. And since I took the day off from transcribing,
tomorrow is a work, work, work day.
Oh, and did I say that I had a really great day? ;-) (other than when
I dunked my digital camera in the water...)

Sorry to hear about the camera. I sure hope that this is a day trip
you plan to repeat.

| I certainly will repeat it, but in January the water's too cold.

| Sounds marvelous. Glad you are safe and hopefully the camera will dry out!

| LOL. I'm thinking the water in Belize in January may just be warmer than
the water in Maine in August!
