| I was watching "A Baby Story" on T.V. yesterday and after the delivery they
printed across the screen. "Mrs. X had to have a c-section because the baby
was oxyposterior".
Good grief. How about "occiput posterior".

Me too! In an older episode of CSI Criminal Intent, the gray-haired

| Do they not have a medical professional who will at least advise on the
content of the "medical-speak"? grrrr. Maybe I've found a new career.

| Oh, for pity's sake! Who does the writing/editing for these programs??
Now, I get a kick out of watching closed captioning. The errors in that
usually leave me howling, but what you're talking about is just plain
gross ignorance. And this is why people assume we're just typing
monkeys, typing what we hear...

| They hire docs sometimes, but we all know how well docs pronounce words.
