Put the guy in your ignore list (if your newsreader has one), otherwise,
killfile.

I don't know how you do it in Google Groups. I went and did a search and
don't see anything pertaining to blocking someone there.

That's what I'm using, Google groups. <sigh>. Guess I'll just have to
pretend to KILLFILE him. <G>

Thanks for trying!

Don't feel bad--even if you block him (I use Outlook Express) he keeps
coming back!

Can't help but wonder what kind of satisfaction these creeps get out of this
kind of posting. Rather than getting converts, it would tend to have a
negative effect on many. If those are the kind of creeps I would meet in
heaven, I am looking for another alternative!

Another thing that makes you go hmmmmm, isn't it? The impression I got
growing up in a Christian family was that you should live your life to
make people want what you have. This kind of behavior just pisses people
off and they will be brought to reckon for it if even a little of what I
learned was true. Be hateful to others and call it love, then wonder why
no one takes you seriously. DUHHHHH

But so many people are told that all you have to do is believe and
spread the 'good news' and voila! Your place in heaven is secured!!
Hallelujah!

A couple years ago I had a discussion with a dear friend who didn't
understand why I didn't think people like Falwell, Robertson, and all
the other hate-mongering 'give me your money and you're saved' TV
preachers and their ilk were true Christians. I explained that I was
raised that one had to live one's faith and not just go to church on
Sunday and read the Bible. If one didn't live it one couldn't really
call oneself 'X' (with X being whatever religion one follows; doesn't
just apply to Christians and never did). If you want someone to see how
good your chosen religion is, live it and show the world. Actions do
speak louder than words.

AMEN Sister! My sister is very devout in her Christian belief, though
not in mainstream church. Her take is you need to make someone your
friend before you witness to them. I agree. No one wants you to jump in
their face and call them a sinner. People sure don't like it when I tell
them they are not obeying God's laws, and I don't do that until they
shove their beliefs under my nose. I wouldn't ever do that as I know it
would have just the opposite effect. If someone asks outright it's one
thing. Otherwise, unless they start it, it's a topic I prefer to avoid.

Personally, if there's the heaven he's expecting, I don't think he'll
get in. He'll be relegated to reading ALL god's email and weeding out
the spam.

I think this jackass is actually probably working for the other side,
anyway. What better way to sour the world on his version of religion
than to get everyone to associate it with such an a-hole?

I can't agree more on that last remark. The dark side isn't stupid.

This guys a PITA and he's giving religion a bad name. He's spamming
USENET, and we can't do anything about it.

Hell really is other people.
