Course Description: You have a medical record, and what's in it
matters. This is the message AAMT is delivering to the greater public
during National Medical Transcriptionist Week this May. This session
will cover the details about this important campaign, including why we
chose this particular message and why now is the perfect time to
deliver it.
Presenter: Kim Buchanan, AAMT President 2005.
Kim Buchanan has been in the transcription field since 1994. She has
worked for a small local service, owned her own service, taught medical
transcription and terminology for a local community college,
transcribed for a national service, and was a mentor at HealthScribe
for 2-1/2 years. She is the co-founder of her local chapter near
Seattle and has served in many roles within AAMT at the local, state,
and national level. She is currently teaching for an online
transcription course and is the AAMT 2005 President.
