Phillips 9350 recorders

| Is anyone else using these recorders? I started using them about 6 months
ago with some of my clients. I liked the fact that you could "lock out"
certain features on the recorders. My problem is, and it's not any one
client in particular, that the recorders suddenly lose their settings. I
have each one set up with the docs initials and have certain features locked
out. Somehow during the course of using them they suddenly revert back to
using the DPM instead of the docs initials and all the function buttons on
the recorder can be used again. This has caused a lot of problems with lost
dictation, erased dictation, etc.
The other thing that has happened with a couple of the recorders is they
seem to lose the battery connection therefore causing lost dictation, etc.
I am at my wits end with these. I have spent quite a bit of money on these
recorders and so far I am not as happy as I thought I would be. I am going
to contact the place I purchased the recorders through and see if I can
return them for a credit, if not, then I will try contacting Phillips
directly and see if they can help me.
I was just wondering if anyone else uses these particular recorders and if
you have any issues like this.
Thanks!

| Kathy,
I have several clients using them and they seem to really like them.
One did have a problem with the settings getting lost -- I think it
had something to do with a firmware upgrade; they solved it without my
intervention. No battery problems that I've been made aware of. I
think the sound quality is far superior to the Olympus 3000.
