Don't faint everybody, I know it's a shock to see me asking about WP 5.1,
but it's for a worthy cause:-)

How do you make WP 5.1 shell out to DOS and run a program?

Thanks,

It's Control-F1, then 1 to get out to DOS. You can also use the 2
option of DOS command line if you just wanted to say run a given batch
file. It would execute it, then you just hit a key to come back into
WP51.

Of course you need to be sure the program is on the path, etc., unless
you want to type in the whole path. I use this all the time to run my
Grammar check on a document or to run a neat little zipcode utility I
have to check name/spelling of a town in another state, etc.

Feel free to email if you need further info. Glad to be able to help
you for a change!

Rae,

What I want to do is have the user create a macro or something that when
executed, will run a specified program. So, when the user hits some key
combination, the program C:\BobsStuff\MyProgram.exe is run.

Thanks,

Bob/Texas
