Marc...Marc...Marc....please read it again. You have a person that records
sessions with clients. You have a person that claims they are a "Therapist".
This person has the SAME two address (shygirl_1963@yahoo.com and
shygirl_1963@hotmail.com ). If you check out the IP address, they are from
the SAME area.
You have a person thats worried about identity theft (see her other posts),
but PUBLISHES HER ENTIRE FAMILY TREE on the internet.
Can a "Therapist" be this stupid? While many Therapists DO see a psycologist
during training and write a theasus/dissertation they DO NOT see a
psycaitrist(sp). If you don't know..the latter can and does prescribe
medication to "control" problems. I seriously doubt her "Professionalism" is
up to par. Recording phone calls is really tacky, especially tacky on a
speakerphone and therapy sessions OVER the phone.....give me a break!
intervention yes, therapy no.

Where did you get that from?
I was under the impression of the original poster being the client.
Nowhere did I read her to be a therapist.

At least over here in Switzerland this is not necessarily the case - a
psychotherapist may well see a psychiatrist for his own therapy or
supervision.

As a psychotherapist in a psychiatric practice and medical student I am
rather well aware of the details ;-)

It is possible to have a therapy session over the phone, and recording
any session is perfectly ok if both parties are aware and consent.

Perhaps if you'd actually read the post, you'd see that she's recording
her _own_ sessions, with the consent of her therapist, so that she can
review them and derive further benefit.

Please, lighten up on the newbies.

Thanks!

Ya, that's right. I am not a therapist, i am the patient.

yes, and i did let my therapist know what i wanted to do, and asked if
she was okay with it. And she agreed that it was okay.

Thanks marc for your support.

And even if you were, I saw it was from genealogy.com which is exactly what
that's for and the right place to do so if ever there was one. How in the
world does it happen that every time there's a cross post, no matter to what
group, that we get this mortimer fellow butting in? Does he belong to us at
sci.med and we just don't see him 'til it's a full moon or something?

I must be really tired today - I don't remember him - either as a regular
or as a "bug"

I see him it seems like *almost* every time there's a cross post it. Maybe
it's a popular troll name or something and it's not the same person every
time.

Oh, please I know what a troll is. I assume that's what your link is to. I
was merely consoling someone who doesn't seem to have a clue and do my good
deed for the day which I forgot to do in the last 364.

if you were trying to me a good deed, you just trashed it with this
comment. Yes, okay, i still don't know enough, it seems, about posting
to newsgroups, but i am learning. The geneology.com posting is NOT
mine, okay.

I never said the posting was yours...and if I trashed anything in your eyes,
so be it. I defended you, tried to educate you, but if saying you don't have
a clue instead of being hateful and calling you an idiot is upsetting to
you, then there's nothing more I can or will do for you. Don't know why I
even tried. I've learned enough about ungrateful little brats from my
15-year-old daughter to last me a lifetime.
