expanding auto correct in Word 2000

| I use Word 98 at home, and Word 2000 in Belize. I transfer my autocorrect,
autotext, templates, custom dictionary, etc from home to Belize every time I
go, which keeps it up to date.
However, Word 2000 has some quirks, perhaps the default settings being
different than what I have in my 98, so here is the problem...
In my 98 I have an autocorrect entry that is 'yo', which expands
to -year-old. IOW, when I type '32yo' (no spaces) in 98 it expands to
'32-year-old'. In 2000 it does not expand. It stays '32yo'. I have to put a
space after '32' and then type 'yo', and then it expands to '32 -year-old'
(note the space after 32). Of course, I don't want the space after 32.
Does anyone know what I need to tweak in 2000 to get it to expand 'yo'
without having a space after the number?
(Dani, you solved my other problem with Word when it was making my numbered
lists look very different from what I wanted them to look like, so I'm
hoping you know the answer to this also. Would be a great help to me.)
Many, many thanks.

| I'm not sure about that one. I know that in 2000 I have some similar issues
to where it wants a space in front of and behind my entry in order to work
correctly and I would assume this is the same thing. But I don't really know
how to keep it from wanting that extra space. You might make an autocorrect
entry to piggyback that one though that would fix itself automatically. Put
in an entry that every time it sees " -year-old" it changes it to
"-year-old" I have to do that on a bunch of my own to get rid of those
spaces.

Here is a way to automatically sychronize your files from one computer
to another. This may or may not solve your problems, but you can give
it a try.

| I know how to transfer my stuff from one computer to another. It's just that
Word 97 and Word 2000 expand differently. Got it solved now, thanks.
