I'm still waiting for them to figure out how to deliver food via email!

Oh, for crying out loud - this is silly!! Do they really think this is
going to be an acceptable substitute for hugging our children?? I'd
rather get food via e-mail!!

It's not so far off. They are using our wonderful tax dollars as we speak to
test transporters just like what you saw in Star Trek.....for use to
transport of military equipment to soldiers around the globe. It was on NBC
Nightly News a few months ago on the Fleecing of America before Tom Brokaw
retired. I can't even imagine something like that coming close to working,
but the reports were optimistic.

Well, color me dubious. But then, how many years ago would we have
scoffed at sending very finely formatted text documents, pictures, and
sound around the world via email. Not just pictures, but videos with sound.

Oh, I'm definitely dubious too. I'm just reporting what I saw. Anyway, it
would scare me. How would you like to shoot a weapon that had been broken
apart into billions of atoms, sent through space, and reassembled thousands
of miles away? What if a couple atoms get lost?
