Absolutely. Involving the other passengers in any way, shape, form or fashion
seems to be at best ill-advised.

Not me.
I just base my opinion on the experiences that I have had in my air travel as
well as the experiences of three frequent fliers that I know. And when I say
"frequent fliers" I mean frequent. These three guys were on airplanes more
most weeks than the flight crews are allowed to be.
Dee, I certainly believe your encounter. It was most likely several people
being overly suspicious about strangers but I certainly believe it. A similar
thing happened a few years ago not far from me when a woman in a restaurant
overheard some Middle Eastern-looking men plotting a terrorist attack. Turned
out they were three doctors on their way to a convention but she was not the
only one who was suspicious of their activities. Had they been anything other
than Middle Eastern-looking and in North Georgia, they probably would not have
gotten a second look from anyone in that restaurant.
Carol
My mind not only wanders, sometimes it leaves completely.
