Anybody ever heard of a "Hibler" uterine manipulator?

I'm doing a new hospital and learning all the quirks of various docs. This one
surgeon apparently goes off the planet to get his surgical instruments, cause I
sure can't find this one.

I just glanced through this but didn't see what you were looking for. It
is a handy site, though, and might help you with the new hospital and docs.
You can also click on links within the results on this page to search
further.

The closest I have found is the Hulka uterine manipulator. Let us know if
you find out what it is.

If they ever use me again (grandbaby had huge fever and vomiting today and had
to go to the doc) I'll let you know.

Sigh. No bed for me tonight!

Join the club. My 14 yo has tonsils swollen out of this world along with ear
infection, so looks like my first experience with a tonsillectomy is
upcoming sometime after Thursday. Anyone with tips on what to expect (she is
a huge hypochondriac and a big baby--you'd think she was a man-<g> ) tell me
what I need to know. I read that it's mainly outpatient now with a stay from
5 to 10 hours and if it's a straight tonsillectomy and not an intracapsular
tonsillectomy that she will be pretty much miserable for a week, YAY. So
anything else, like a place to stay for a week (wink wink), would be great.

LOL. Been so long since my tonsils came out - I'm sure it has to be better now.
I think they almost had to put IVs in me because it hurt to drink. And that
promise of all the ice cream you wanted - who can eat it when your throat hurts
so bad.

I had my tonsils taken out over Christmas break my senior year in high
school (Christmas of 88). They kept me overnight because of my age but I
honestly didn't have too many problems at all. The worst part was once the
scabs started forming on the throat - that was a bit disgusting and I would
gross out easily, so I had to talk myself out of gagging quite a few times.
I don't think I took anything other than OTC pain meds once the initial
anesthesia and immediate postop pain meds wore off. The worst thing for me
was laughing - that really hurt for the few days immediate postop. I would
stock up on magazines and movies. Swallowing anything with any consistency
hurt for a few days and I wasn't a huge ice cream fan anyway. I would buy
some of that italian ice that they sell in the grocery stores or something
similar but try to stay away from any of the fruity frozen bars (like
minute made, etc) because the acid will burn her throat. Jello after day 2
should be good and something she may welcome when she gets tired of
drinking her food. LOL! Oh, stay away from carbonation for a day or two
also. I remember trying to drink a Coke and I don't think my throat has
ever burned so much in my life. Go for something really light and
nonacidic for juices like maybe white grape (water it down some), white
grape and peach, pear juice, etc.
