| They need to watch me and dad deep frying our turkeys, maybe they would
change their minds...<g> First, he handmade a metal shield to block wind, no
sparks, no wayward flames. Second, no overhead blockages whether trees or
porch roof. Third, we use a 10 foot pole to lower the turkey into the pot so
no pops from where I may not have got all the excess moisture off, ice
chips, what have you, etc. We are so safe we should be in a commercial for
them. LOL Of course, I have to admit that with the family and friends we
feed at holiday time, we don't do the suggested 12-15 pound birds. We have a
larger pot than intended and do 18-24 pounds. Mmm, I can almost taste that
turkey now...only three more weeks..lol.
