That was my main issue when building this house. I didn't want back pain from
working er....cooking in the kitchen. I am not sure if the counters in our old
house were lower than normal but it killed my lower back to work in the
kitchen. Maybe my DH and the cabinet guy did something for me with this house
that I don't remember. I know we got standard height cabinets - maybe they
just set them a bit higher and made adjustments with the floor and trim
moulding on the floor end so you really couldn't tell. I don't get nearly the
amount of back pain in this kitchen as I did in our old house. Or....maybe
they started making standard cabinet height different in the 10 years since our
old house was built and our new house was built.
