I just want to say that I am really disgusted with a particular company (not
the one I work for), but one I know of very well. They took a very
hard-working team of editors who were paid on salary and they informed them
that they would be paid 4 lousy cents a line beginning next week. I had no
respect for the company anyhow, but this tactic is bottom of the barrel.

I know some super QA folks who are seeking FT hourly positions as editors and
the pickings are slim right now. I am not talking editing jobs that pay $10-12
an hour. I am talking decent editor pay.

If there is a company out there who is seeking some FT editors to work days and
who are topnotch in our field, are into quality and who are some of the best,
email me and I will put you in touch with these people. They have my highest
recommendations and not everyone gets that from me.

disgusted and these gals do not deserve this.

I had this happen a few years ago with a national and the minute they said they
were going to do that, I was out of there!

The lack of respect for working professionals in this field is getting to be
overwhelming and it just sickens me sometimes that I work in this field.

I am very passionate about this issue, but I am more passionate when I was the
one who recommended these folks to this company.

I wish I had some leads for you, but my part of the MT universe is so very
small. I think it's great that you are stumping for these folks. I hope they
have a soft landing.
