Hate to change the subject but...I have viruses.

| I don't know how I got them or what they are. There are 14, all trojans, none
picked up on my darned Norton, but picked up on TrendMIcro. All non cleanable,
they say.
I was really careful not to X out of Trend Micro but I did somehow so I don't
have the list before me, but there's one that is different from the others.
How do you get rid of a "non cleanable" virus?
I needed this headache today. Oh yeah.

| Antivirus programs are not good at protecting you from trojans or spyware.
You need a separate programs, or usually programs, for that.
You need to rerun Trend Mico and/or try the online scans at
http://www.webroot.com/services/spyaudit_03.htm or
http://www.pestscan.com/Scan.asp and make note of exactly what pests you've
got, then Google to see if there are any freestanding applets out there that
can get rid of them.
You can also try the free downloads of Spybot and Ad-aware and see if either
of them can clean any of them up.
Beyond that, you are stuck with trying rolling back to a restore point or
reinstalling from a clean backup, if you have one.
Whenever you get things cleaned up, add Ad-aware, Spybot, and SpywareBlaster
to your computer, and make sure you set Spybot for immunize as well as
setting SpywareBlaster to prevent things from getting on your drive in the
first place.
Then reassess your firewall and make sure it is truly buttoned up.

| Boot in "Safe Mode" (Hit F8 during boot process) and then rerun TrendMicro.
I assume you are running the TrendMicro Internet 2005 since you said it
found trojans and its only the latest version of that software that checks
for trojans as well as viruses. Trend should be able to remove the trojans
when run in safe mode.

| Reassurance from someone else who isn't a computer whiz, Becky - this is
pretty safe. :-)
