| I remember reading these in grade school. Heard on the radio today that
they hold a vote each presidential election throughout the country
before the adults vote. Each one, since 1956, they school kids (grade
12 and under) have voted the same way the nation voted in the real
election. This year they "elected" President Bush.

| Did you know that in every election since 1936, whenever the Red Skins won
their last home game prior to the election, the incumbent has lost?

| I remember Weekly Reader - though not what was in it.
Sad thing is kids just echo their parents. They "think" they are thinking but
they are not

remembering them at all!

| Oh I sure remember the Weekly Reader in grade school. And I still
love Highlights. We get it at the doctor's office I work in. Thanks
for the trip down memory lane.

We have a weekly reader in my Constitutional Criminal Procedure class. It's a
handmade book of various articles, internet downloads and what-not that the
Professor felt were important to the class. I think he named it as a joke.
Stupid thing cost 15 bucks at the Bookstore, though! Cheapest book I
bought, on the other hand.

| Why, thank you, sir.
Margie, who hates it when the grocery clerk calls her "ma'am."

| Don't feel so bad ... I've been called ma'am since 1992 (I was not yet 40),
when I arrived in Memphis. It's just a sign of respect.
