New forumla for Sensodyne Extra Whitening. Better or worse?

| I've been using Sondodyne Extra Whitening toothpaste for years.
I notice that they changed the formula, and claiming it to be a "New
Improved Forumula."
Here is a list of the the ingredients for the OLD formula (excluding the
Flouride and Potasssium Nitrate):
Calcium Peroxide, flavor glycerin, hydrated silica, PEG-12, PEG-75, sodium
carbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium saccharin, titanium dixoide, water
Here is the NEW forumula:
cocamidopropyle betaine, flavor, glycering, hydrated silica, PEG-8, sodium
hydroxide, sodium methyle cocoyle taurate, sodium saccharin, pentasodium
triphosphate, sorbitol, titanium dioxide, water, xanthan gum
Is this really a new and improved formula? Is it better or worse than the
old formula in terms of making my teeth whiter or fighting stains and
tartar, etc?
Was it really wise of them to get rid of Calcium Peroxide?

I think it's all marketing. In general, the demands of a toothpaste
for sensitive teeth work against the inclusion of peroxides or other
bleaching agents. The balance of the ingredients appear to be abrasives
(hydrated silica, titanium dioxide), sodium lauryl sulfate (detergent)
thickener (xanthan gum) and flavoring.
