Author Is articaine / septocaine my problem?

I just got a hold of my dentist and told him about the pain I'm having from
the injection sites on my lower gum (in the tissue below my gums, below the
tendon thingy that connects the lip to gum tissue, whatever you call it).
His response was to keep taking amoxicillin and Tylenol and he said it could
be an inflamed nerve or something.

I hope this isn't tissue necrosis. The area that hurts is a little red but
not swollen. It just hurts and feels stiff, kind of like a canker sore from
hell, but below the gum deep down. What do you think, should I be concerned?
What does tissue necrosis look like and would that happen this soon (48
hours later)?

That is an unexpected idiosyncratic reaction to local infiltration of
Septocaine 4% with 1:100K epi

I would go let your dentist check it out if only for his further education
