| When I had my teeth worked on the other day the dentist used something new
(to me) called "septicane". He didn't do any blocks and just used this
stuff. Boy did it make it numb, and the numbness finally went away hours
later... but I have a pain (now 36 hours later) in my gums in the lower
front. Actually the pain seems to be getting worse. My dentist is out of
town this weekend. At first I thought it was a side effect from this
septicane stuff, but if it is getting worse could that indicate an infection
or something? I've got some amoxicillin laying around, wonder if I should do
some of those in case.

| I think "septo" is a really bad name for an anesthetic. At this point I
don't know what is going on but it is 2 AM and I can't sleep because of the
pain. I don't know if I have an infection or all this "septo" has killed my
gums.. feels like I was hit with a baseball bat in the chin. I'm reading
some bad things about this sept-o-stuff

The pain is still there, a little worse than last night. Deep down my gums
have a peculiar "stiff" feeling. GOD I HOPE this isn't permanent.

Most of the links talk about nerve damage, like loss of taste and stuff like
that. This feels more like a canker sore from hell, deep under the skin. it
feels like what one would expect if hit upside the head with a nine iron.
