The latest survey displays that it requires an average of just 3.8
drinkings to effect a katzenjammer. But this tablets
supports you elude hang-overs and wake up feeling immense from head
to abdomen and everywhere else.

I signed it but am not convinced that medical use is the way to go.
Licensed and controlled recreational use is what I want.

Suppose I can always invent severe migraine or something to justify
signing it.

Medical is totally separate from recreational.

Accepted but some of the medical conditions that I have heard of to
justify Cannabis use are really stretching the imagination a bit too
far. One guy on a site I use quoted almost total blindness as a medical
reason for his using Cannabis. I daresay it made life more bearable for
the guy (Good luck to him) but this was hard to justify as genuine
medical use as at no time has he ever claimed that Cannabis improved
his eyesight. It all depends on how you define "medical use".

Sod it. My arthritus is playing up. Must have a blow....

If the blindness is related to ocular pressure from glaucoma, then the
marijuana may indeed help him, since it is known to reduce ocular pressure.

about the blindness thing? It's glaucoma that pot helps and if its not
treated, your eyeballs can explode due to pressure.

It may not have been made him see better, but it likely did affect his optic
nerve and the intra-ocular pressure, the basis for loss of eyesight through
glaucoma.

Lots of drugs do nothing but relieve symptoms of problems which are
incurable.

Who are you to define what is and is not medically significant in someone
else's life?

I daresay that the guys enjoyment of life is helped enormously despite
his eyesight problems but would you call that medical, mental or
recreational help?

This was the point I was trying to make. You cannot differentiate by
having legislation for some on "medical grounds" which would be
entirely open to interpretation depending on who is interpreting. The
only way forward is to license Cannabis use for all.

We have it like that in my county up here in Northern California. See:

http://www.apple2.org.za/gswv/me/Gr.../Mendocard.JPEG

The voters of our county voted by a majority of 70% to allow
recreational use.

Nice one, Brian! Now, if only we could get the gutter press to believe that
"marihuana addicts trepanne themselves to stop their heads exploding", and
print it. It's about as believable as 50 joints per day! (46 left).

Skunkville Spitoon, Mon Feb 14. --

Man High on Cannabis Drills Hole in Skull

In a bizarre case of modern day 'reefer madness,' John Brine, a 32
year-old school janitor and former night club singer presented the local
police and emergency medical responders with a case straight out of
"Ripley's Believe it or Not!"

Claiming to be suffering excruciating pain in his skull, alleged to have
been brought on by an ill-conceived night of abject depravity --
involving the smoking of a "large amount" of today's modern super
powerful (and thus super dangerous) marijuana, Brine claims he did the
only thing he could think of, and drilled a hole into his very own
skull.

"It really is quite remarkable," said one on-scence medical responder.
Apparently, without any formal training at all, Mr. Brine was able to
overcome the blinding pain of a head too filled with blood, gathered his
courage and his Black & Decker, 3/4 horsepower variable speed reversible
drill, mounted a 2-1/2" doorlock bit into the chock, pressed the drill
against his head and pulled on the trigger.

"It was just too much pressure," he says. Doctors remain mystified, both
by the ability of Mr. Brine to so skillfully remove a piece of his own
skull, and by the precision of his work. One thing that doesn't mystify
anyone, however, is that marijuana, the weed from the devil's own
garden, is the culprit.

"We hope that the kids will get a message from this," said police
lieutenant Edward R. "Gabber" Gabowlski. "No one," he continued, "should
be attempting such medical procedures while under the influence of the
powerful drug." Criminal charges have been filed in the incident,
charging Mr. Brine with marijuana possession, assualt on the self,
criminal mischief, and for practicing medicine without a license. His
arraignment on the charges, in Skunkville County Court is scheduled for
Thursday morning.
