| Hi Vicki Jo,
I applied almost a year ago and was denied of course. None of my medical records showed that I was sick according to Social Security. I then hired an attorney who specializes in Disability cases and he only gets paid if we win. He will take 25% of th
e back pay owed to me (12 months). They denied our appeal and now we are waiting for a hearing date which could take anwhere from 6 to 18 months I'm told. Meanwhile I cannot even work part time or we will lose the case; not that I have the energy or men
tal capacity, but I need income badly! My biggest fear is waiting a year or more and then getting denied again but the attorney is telling me they win 90% of the cases. Don't be surprised if you get denied and then have to appeal, most people do from wh
at I understand.
Just my 2 cents...best of luck to you!

my head was spinning after the 1 1/2 interview but I have made the big
step...... I have heard it takes 4 6 months to get decision....
also, any advise, I feel I should notify all my health providers that I have
done this to give them a heads up....
I saw a couple of them this summer when I was on a "good" month....but now
it has been a bummer..... how will that effect what they say to SS????? It is
an up and down way to life, that is for certain.....
