Hi everyone,

I just got the results of my salivary cortisol test back and it showed that
I have quite low cortisol levels, but interestingly, high DHEA levels. I was
just wondering if anyone knows why a person would have high DHEA. Does the
body produce more to make up for the cortisol it lacks or does that not make
sense? I just started a supplement given to me by my doctor called Adrenotone
Plus, which contains, ginseng, ashwaganda, and a few others to support the
adrenals. So far, I haven't felt a thing from taking it, but I suspect that it's
going to take a long time to feel any of the benefits. Anyway, any adrenal
recovery experiences or info on DHEA is welcome. Thanks so much.

i have low cortisol too..really low...this is a new area i think where (my
doc) tells me research is going....that the adrenals (and in particular
cortisol levels) are really compromised......

my DHEA is not high it is in a low normal range....so ...i guess its
just...well it could depend on your age and stuff like that as well...or, if
you take a DHEA supplement, or....it also depends on what time of day the
cortisol was measured too.....should be first thing in the a.m....

DHEA, from what i understand is necessary for production of all other
hormones and the body can turn it into testosterone or ...who
knows....what...and...you might want to take B6 as well for adrenals and
lots of Vitamin C.....

i take it in a powder form and that is suppose to support adrenals as
well...
