Thanks for the description of your use. You might still
get some of the benefits of the amino acids and long strand
organic compounds.
Some of the available variants add worthwhile supplements
like lacto-ferrin to the plain old UWP. Others extract the
compounds considered unneeded to give a more compact form
but may miss the point. Most are more expensive than the
simpler forms like the Solgar and the Jarrow Whey Protein
Powders.
Avoid Whey Protein that has packaging that admits to
pre-digested or hydrolyzed, these are processes that may
increase the available protein or add storage life but which
break up the long strand amino acids and their precursors
for which we use the UWP.
UDP usually says "ultra-filtered" and "low temperature
processed."
The original doctor involved in using UWP got his whey from
cheese makers in France and it was originally pasteurized at
low temperatures. The regulation regarding food processing
changed and the whey he was providing to his patients failed
to benefit them. The Cheese makers had switched to high
temperature pastuerization to conform to the new regulations
destroying the particular food value of the whey.
So he managed to find more whey that was processed at
lower temperatures and his patients once more found the whey
of value. All this information and a lot more is out there
online where I originally read it.
Remember to rest whenever you feel the need and sometimes
when you feel like you could go on doing something.
