I think I wouldn't feel too hot either. I have carefully
avoided excess amount of arginine for many years.

I think when you look for a common cause for the CFIDS/ME
you are misunderstanding the nature of the syndrome. It appears
to be the body's response to a variety of insults which induces
the need for lots of rest. Too bad we cannot go into hibernation
which might be an ideal treatment. Most of the time we resist
the need for rest due to various internal and external pressures
and make ourselves more ill. I know that this is exactly what
I did when I got ill about 22 or 23 years ago. I tried
desperately to regain my physical endurance so that I could get
back to work. Everytime I did this I ended up with a recurrance
of my original symptoms and got weaker.

Well, Vickijo, you most likely do not have a herpes virus infection because otherwise you would have more a unpleasant
outcome. But that does not mean you don't have CFIDS.
