| Nancy:
After 11 years with CFIDS (and an active exerciser before), I have found
that yoga is one of the few "exercises" I can tolerate, and even that at
far less intensity than I used to enjoy. There are many yoga books of
course, but I recommend a little one called A MORNING CUP OF YOGA, by
Jane Goad Trechsel. It offers a clear, easy 15-minute yoga routine for
beginners (or sick people!) with some optional extras if you want them,
and includes a CD talking you through the routine. It's only $12.95 US,
and it has enabled me to at least get in this bit of exercise.
Be careful of the "graduated exercise" programs for people with CFIDS.
I tried it and like many others found I could not tolerate it - no
matter how carefully "graduated" - without disastrous crashes.
Cheers,
