| ((((((MARNIA)))))))
I am so sad to hear of your sequestered life from the awful scourge of mold!
Mold has been a huge enemy to my body also.
I live on the upper floor of a home with a basement under me that is full of
mold.
The open staircase had to have a double plastic
curtain put up to keep the full mold load from coming up that way but it
even seeps up thru the heating ductwork.
I am always so happy to have weather that allows opening doors or windows to
be able to partake of
fresher air.
Often chlorine bleach products are used against mold however I have a very
severe allergy (to the point of anaphalaxis) to chlorine bleach. I am glad to
know about your cleansing with alcohol and will get some to use asap. Up
to this time I have been cleaning with
a vinager solution.
Since my DH is not ill with this, he cleans the bathroom with a more toxic
cleaner and I wait for an hour or more to go in (after cleaning).
Right now I seem to be climbing out of a crash and had to use a little seat
in the shower (lately). I am hoping that the fresh air of spring **soon***
will help me come out further. I always feel so much better in the summer
months (although heat beyond 88 or so and I have to seek air conditioning)
How interesting that you worked for the parks system. It is a life goal of
my husband's and mine to be able to visit all of the park systems. We have an
old (82) RV right now, but it is clean and we really enjoy being able to go
camping during the summer months. Our longest camping is in August when we
camp for 2 weeks with 16 people of my extended family and my son and daughter in
law come to visit us from Singapore (where they live and work). I think
being WITH healthy people and in close fellowship with them each year has kept
me from feeling so isolated with this DD. For the past 5 years or so I have
had an electric scooter (insurance provided) to be able to go on some of the
paths and trails and visit around at the 4 various campsites we all have. I
put my little yorkie terrier in the basket in front and I am teased with
"toto too" ;o)
One good thing that has come out of this DD is that my five brothers have
"some" idea about it and it has helped them to be more health minded. All of
them do building as a sideline or project and they are all very concious of
using "green" choices and for the most part do all they can to be sensitive to
MCS (which comes with this DD)
It has been over 25 years to bring this about, however now I can see these
positive things. I did my time (years) being misunderstood / as all with this
illness have been and so much moreso when there was not medical articles on
it or even proposed name.
I saw on a website recently that
calling this chronic fatigue is like calling an atom bomb /a match.
someday it will have a much more fitting name.
i am rambling but it is nice to meet you ;o)
