The CFS Research Foundation Website http://www.cfsrf.com
[AOL: Here]

is now back online after a gap of many weeks.

"The Foundation Newsletter" (published this time last year):
http://www.cfsrf.com/pdf/Newsletter-10.pdf
and

"The Appeal for Funding"
http://www.cfsrf.com/pdf/Appeal.pdf

give some details of the gene expression research, being led by Dr.
Jonathan Kerr, that they are helping to support (and will involve,
amongst others, some of Dr. Enlander's patients).

The Publications page:
http://www.cfsrf.com/Publications.htm
contains a lot of the full papers they have supported over the years
(although the full papers for their latest two papers have been taken
down).

One can download a form to donate at:
http://www.cfsrf.com/pdf/donate.pdf

If one wants to donate online, one can do so at
the page for the CFS Research Foundation on givenow.org:
http://tinyurl.com/cld93

i.e.
https://secure.givenow.org/charitys...oundation&GUID=

people donate to them)

Tom - I'd love to give to this Foundation to further research, but how do you that in US dollars? The forms are only in pounds. The online "givenow.org" form only accepts pounds as well. Do you have any ideas?

Wendi

Hi Wendi,

I think if you just type in the amount in pounds that you wish to pay
with your credit card, it will work out fine. Just remember that one
pound is about two US dollars, so put in a number that's about half
as much as you want to donate in dollars!

Hi Wendi,

It's great that you're so enthusiastic.
I am too which is why I posted the message around the net, have donated
to them and am involved in group which has donated to them.

As Corina says, just factor in it's in a different currency. I'm not
expert but it shouldn't cost you much if anything just because it's in
a different currency - I'm often getting things using a credit card on
the net that are in a different currency (and have donated to the site
which is a different currency). This is different to say getting a
bank draft in another currency which is expensive.

I've set the following on my favourites to help me convert from one
currency to another:
http://www.xe.com/ucc/
(Universal Currency Converter)

It's handy for going in different directions e.g. you could decide how
many dollars you'd like to give and see what that converts to in
pounds.

Bye,

In a letter to their supporters, the CFSRF http://www.cfsrf.com have
recently said, about the gene expression research which is their focus
at the moment: "Dr. Kerr is now building up his team to take this
project into its second stage when he hopes to devise a laboratory
diagnostic test and he is also making plans for clinical trials."

I have heard that the clinical trials may start as early as March. I
don't know what they are testing at this stage.

Fingers crossed they get the money to keep going.
