Ok I couldn't find Kathy's note in the last week or so.
So I will respond here.

I am currently using Carlson branded 100% Norwegian
Cod Liver oil in Super 1000 mg soft gels (capsules). I had
no special reason to pick up this brand but the price was
good at Vitamin Express.
It according to the label contains no detectable levels
of known contaminants including mercury, lead, PCBs or 28 other
known contaminants accroding to FDA. The url on the label is
http://www.carlsonlabs.com
I used to use liquid mint flavored cod liver oil but
after I spilled some on my favorite PJs I went to the capsules.
This product contains Vitamin A, 2000 IU(international units)
which equals 40% of your daily requirement;
and Vitamin D, 250 IU = 63% of your daily requirement.
It contains other healthful substances but none so pivotal
to your health. If I take two of these a day I would be getting
too much vitamin D and still not enough vitamin A so you need
to find the rest in your diet or take an extra tablet every
other day to bring the total closer to ideal.
You can find the vitamins in other foods and I hope your
Vitamin Bibles can supply that data.

I stopped taking a multivitamin because I wanted to see if
the Cod Liver oil would help my pain. It did by the way/

Both Vitamin A and Vitamin D can accumulate in your body's
fatty tissues and can reach poisonous levels which would be
unpleasant.
Hope I have cleared up all the typographical errors
and the confusion caused by my failure to be perfectly clear
on all matters.
