That is good to know :-)
So, key seems to be "Read the label carefully".....

Not only I, but also many people here are new to the
nutritional approach, so these sharing become very
big help for us, "newbies" :-)

I'm looking forward to hearing the newest study!

I have never heard about that and the treatment certainly
sounds "expensive". Expensive way is useless for CFS.
- except some exception-

I assume that the above way you shared can be a very good
business, too. Well, your sharing and reading the article, I learned
that Van Konenburg have not had interest in the business at all.
That is good thing :-)

I don't think the mercury is the cause of the CFS!
(How to explain my onset?!?!?)

Japanese do experience severely mercury poisoned condition
(called "Minamata disease") so, I think it is all right to express
"We can relatively easy to say that the cause of the CFS is
not from the mercury poison".
But, looking at the "reality" (the body mechanism "after"we
got the CFS), we could have the depletion of glutathione
as Van Konenburg mentioned in his article (it is possible as
long as most of us have MCS), probably, we should better be
careful against not only mercury, but also many other chemical
substances.

The following is off topic again (sorry)
While I was writing the above, the particular idea in myself "Move
to the countryside!" is growing more.... Air pollution of Tokyo is
simply bad. I do NOT mean Air pollution is the cause of the CFS.
I mean air pollution could stimulate our immune system, or work
as hormone-like in our body and it can be a trigger for my relapse
with high percentage, at least....

Back to the topic (Mercury)
Simply, just like the allergy strategies, I thought it is good
to keep in our mind to environmental pollution, including
mercury, as long as we have tendency (pattern) to take
fish / seafood because we avoid taking meats.
So, this is simply "general alert".

My allergic reaction has been subsided by prednisolone
(for RP) beautifully, but, I do remember I was very sensitive
for many substances As I mentioned and alerted about
mercury toxic from MCS point of view
(MCS which appeared "after" CFS onset)

NOTE: MCS: Multiple Chemical Sensitivity(?? )
You can give me the correct name of MCS

Bobbie. Probably, we (Japanese) are one of the biggest
fish consumer so, we are sensitive much more than you.
I don't know "which salmon" was mentioned in our
broadcasting because we certainly have had the pacific
salmon (I should ask to the persons at fish shop. --Hey,
you gave me good purpose to go out for shopping, "filling
my curiosity"! My daily life becomes more exciting!)

When we heard the "items" (should be careful to take)
we jumped up for surprising because we believed we
should have simply avoided tuna and other listed fish
by our government by then.

Anyway, the point is "total amount". (because these
heavy metallic substances are accumulated)
-- I am really new to this field (nutritional approach, so,
is it ok to give you the analogy like following the
accumulation, "just like Vitamin A or D"?--

Japanese idea for fish consuming is following
(for Tuna) "Less than 160mg/week".
It might be useful if you calculate your fish
consuming as carefully as Vit A and D.

Yes. That is another big problem.
(Probably, CFS or anyone who have "weak bodies"
should avoid canned fish due to the concerning of lead.)

I have not noticed that at all !!

> Seems a very well intentioned person.

LOL! Probably, I'm guessing, because he is a scientist
(usually, scientists are very "bad" at communication!)
and/or he really wanted to tell you something which he
has strong confidence.
I don't know about the reality but, anyway, his idea certainly
gave us good opportunity to think about what could be going
on in our body (mechanism) together and that was good for
the persons on the quest-road of alternative way.
This reality is good enough for me :-)

Let's keep moving on!

Big Hugs,
Rika
