It could be but you seek out a source that is least
contaminated. For a while I think they used reindeer
livers but that source had problems so they switched after
taking products off the market for a while.
The processing likely removes the contaminents we would
be most concerned with.
My thyroid supplement is made from pig thyroid and the
process it goes thru is exacting and the wonder is that
there is enough of it left to do one any good but there
is I know from personal experience.
