The first thing to do is to get adequate rest.

Then if I knew what your symptoms were I might have something
to say but I had many problems to deal with at different phases
of my illness. I had a candida infection of my bowel that
interfered with my rest at night and led to more problems with
food sensitivity.

My allergist-immunologist treated the infection with nystatin
powder and I got a little better but only abstention from the
foods I was sensitive to relieved those problems.

I was sensitive to wheat and bovine dairy products and a few
other things. With abstention these things have gotten better.

Later I found that I was having a thyroid problem and that
had to be treated and I don't know it that was cfids related or
that the initial infection somehow destroyed the thyroid
function. That went thru several stages as I have related here
lately.

Finally I figured out that resting adequately was the most
important thing I was neglecting. Then I learned of the
theraputic use of Undenatured Whey Protein and the negative
effects on the body of acetominophen. I stopped taking that
chemical and started using the UWP and arrested the weakness of
my legs and improved my immune system so that my herpes was
suppressed.

My physician wants me to exercise as much as possible and I
was doing ok but tried a bit too hard a week or so back and had a
little mini-crash with upper respiratory congestion. I doubled
up on my anti-histamines and wore extra clothing to keep my body
warm and seem to be getting over it. I would call it a cold but
it seems to be going away too fast for a real cold. Seems more
like a exhaberation of my allegies.

Going to try for an influenza shot and a pneumonia shot
tomorrow AM. Lots of people with cfids don't seem to tolerate
these vaccinations very well but missing them back in 1983 may
have led to the infections that ended up in cfids for me.

Thought I had mailed this on Wednesday but found it in my
outgoing directory today. I got my shots and have had no special
complication but had to wait 2 hours for them and I walked around
two blocks in downtown SF while I waited. Got to visit stores I
haven't gone near in years but really very tiring. Ankles really
hurt from the around the blocks stuff.
