| Well, I made it. My first day of sobriety was March 13th, 2005. And I
still don't know if I'm going to go back to drinking or not. I may live out
the rest of my life pondering that very question.

Why? Both responses were encouraging. Seems to me it is YOU who has the
perception problem )

| No, they weren't. They were demeaning and oversimplify the situation.
Although, on second thought I suppose the question of using or not using
really IS a simple one. There are many ways to convey that message but
sarcasm is not one of them.
Way to go, THX I'd love to hear more about what the last year has
been like,

That is an assumption. My response was to suggest that seeking out new life
positives is the next step in recovery, as contrasted to continue in the
mindset of running away from a negative. I think Rosie had the same
intention. Do you understand my drift?

| Way to go! One year of sobriety equals a lot of happiness to you and your
circle of friends/family. My first birthday was the one I was proudest of.

A year can change a lot. I am gratefull for the first year i got
sober thru AA, equaly so for the next two I scraped together without
it. As much so for the stuff i have going on now that i am drinking on
and off again. Don't sweat pondering the question. You may get another
year, two, ten, hell, you might not ever drink again! Either way I hope
you have put the time and money you used to piss away to better use,
and that might keep you to busy to ponder the question
