| About laughter. For me, life isn't as full of laughter as it was when
drinking. My attitude has changed. Like I said in a later post, when I was
drinking I used to laugh at people with disabilities or mental illness. I
used to laugh when someone called someone a faggot or nigger. Heck, I did
the same thing for a laugh. I almost cut a girls fingers off at work once
and laughed like hell. I would laugh when I got scared. I laughed to fit in.
I laughed because I thought that is what everyone liked, a clown.
I believe I said that I just don't laugh at the same things I used to. I was
known for being the girl with the funny laugh and a smile on her face all
the time. I hid behind laughter for most of my life. So, for me, life isn't
as full of laughter and maybe someday it will be. I could tell you some
funny stories that have happened the past week but, I won't for fear I will
bore you or you will not think it funny. I do laugh, and even at myself.
Best,
Gail
