Just rtying to see if I can post anything. There evidently are major
problems thoughout Usenet at Google.
SO which newsreader is best? I even have trouble with Thunderbird
reader...

Thunderbird is a tad quirky if you aren't familiar with it, but it's a
fine newsreader nonetheless.
Personally, I prefer Outlook Express. No, it's not cool, and you'll be
subject to derision in certain geek circles, but fukkem.
Holler if you need help setting it up. Then I'll show you how to tweak
it to overcome a couple shortcomings that are inherent in the program.
