If somebody wants to quit, one day at a time seems to work well. Only makes
sense that if somebody wants to drink that the same method would apply
successfully.

When I drank, I specifically drank "just for one more day". I'd always
stop tomorrow. That's why I'be never identified with the "just for
today" crowd, I stopped drinking for good.

Using this warped thinking, I can assume that if I choose each day, one
day at a time, not to kill myself, I would be safe to choose one day to
do so, with the same results. You guys are obviously suffering from
"wet brain."

Until we're sober.

I've also heard a "slip"

"sobriety, one drink at a time"

No, I'm sure I'm not "sober" by your terms. I just don't drink any alcohol.

Success is the name of the game...so yes if you choose to do so and
are successful than you have successfully completed the game. You will
have won and shown the wet brains what losers they really are.
