Due to a recent enlightenment by a renowned expert on AA, I've come to
a realization that I've been a member of AA for 35 Years and legally,
since no one has been able to prove otherwise, except in one case
where I wrecked a car in a headon collision and damn near killed
another human being, and had to take a breathalyser test which showed I
was over the legal limit BA wise, which should be excused since that
renowned expert states that, he thinks, to quote him, "Actually, I
think it would be a good idea for anyone with long term soberiety who
has found the Light within to go take an experimental drink." So, I
conclude in that instance, since at the time, I'd been Sober according
to his reasoning for, oh let's see, since three years before I found AA
and had been in a hospital for two weeks due to internal hemoraging
from an alcohol related incident, and was diagnosed Alcoholic,
non-specific, due to the amount of alcohol I had in my blood, so let's
see at the time in 1986 when I had that BS test that showed I wasn't
sober, I'd had I guess what one would call *long* *term* sobriety for
oh goodness, 20 years, huh? and then after that, I had another 14 years
of legal sobriety, so that means when I dedided I didn't want to drink
any longer or any more in 1995, I'd already been an AA member for 25
years. so take the 25 years of drinking on and off in accordance with
his beliefs, add to it the ten years I've had not drinking at all since
95, Sheesh, I've been an...

AA Member for 35 years. Wow! How about that. and maybe I can even tally
in the three, almost four, years I went without a drink prior to going
to my first AA meeting in 1970, sheesh! I ought to be able to gt away
with saying,

I've been an AA Member for about 38 years.

Bow down all you FNGs. Make way for an AA Guru. ;-)

Let's hear a little applause and see some respect.

And some more orders for some that beach front property I need to
unload up in Dry Gultch, North Dakota.
