| It all began with Google Earth.
Looking here, looking there. Got to Brest where I had served in the
French Navy. Searched for the old ship, found out it was a Buckley
class and landed at my then "Kingdom", the laundry:

While I'm not really a Navy man, it was a pleasant discovery. Touring
the Ship and remembering the old days (more than 40 years ago).
When we took over the "Algérien", it was mothed in Algeria. While
scrubbing, I found a silver fork from the US Navy. I remember
wondering about the men who served on that Ship during WWII. Today, I
learned a bit over them.
