It's been several years since I started sending out the Morning Meds.
Over the past10yrs I have watched it grow and take on a life of its
own. I have become very happy being the trusted servant getting the
Meds. As I start this new year I wanted to express my thanks to all of
you who have over the years shared your experience strength and hope
with me, and the other readers of the Meds.

I hope that all who read the Morning Meds feel free to write , comment
on, or pass the Meds on at anytime. I have never had any plans for the
Meds other than one alcoholic sharing with another alcoholic. So
please feel free to share.

New Years is a time full of resolutions, and vows of life changes for
the upcoming year. For me AA has taught me the everyday is New Years.
I can make those life changes at anytime on anyday. This is an amazing
gift for me. It means that if something bad happens in my life today
that I don't have to let event take control of my serenity. I can just
start over from that point forward. I'm so grateful for the many
lessons that have been taught to me over the years by the sober members
of AA.

I have a plant that was in Bill Wilson's room when he was on his death
bed in January of 1971. Lois it took it home with her from the
hospital and gave out clippings when people would visit her. I'm not
Mr.Green Thumb so when I got this plant I was worried about it dying.
It's not a fancy plant. It's a simple plant a Creeping Charlie. Over
the past year my clipping of this plant has grown to be quite a healthy
and substantial plant. I have passed on several clippings from this
plant to friends in the fellowship. It so reminds me of AA. AA
started from humble beginnings and has grown quite substantial. Like
the Creeping Charlie plant AA is not fancy, but very simple indeed.
Like my plant it passed on in humble clippings and with just a little
care will grow and become healthy and strong.

Happy New Year. My Sober Family,
(Soberly submitted by Mark M. of Montebello, CA)

That's an awsome story!!! Thanks for sharing it with us. Now what do I
have to do to get one of those clippings?
